Comic-Con and Such

Hellllllooooooo.

Oh how I missed my blog! It is time for verbal diarrhea…

Comic-Con…

…is over. I don’t know if I should be happy or sad about it because I’m pretty sure all San Diegans have a love and hate relationship with it. And since I work in hospitality I do have a little bit of a closer look at it as well. I could perfectly disclose juicy details about celebrities, but I will not since I am professional like that (ha!)

Other than going to work, I did go downtown for Comic-Con to a Playboy Party (wait for it) to start a new tradition of not going to the Playboy Party (there it is). See, when you are on a list for Comic-Con parties you have to be there so freaking early that it’s almost not acceptable. A friend and I did exactly the same thing for exactly the same party two years ago, in other words, we had too much fun pre partying that it was too late to get into the venue without standing in a line, and I do not stay in lines because it drains out all of my energy of standing on fabulous heels that I could be using in having fun instead (ha!) So we ended up  in my friend’s downtown penthouse (not too shabby) Later on, we still took a stroll to Searsucker to join the Comic-Con mania.

The only Comic-Con blog I have from past years, is this one in Spanish, and I love reading it! If you go on Google Translate to translate that post, you will read about my VIP table with Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones, and my big oopsie with Alexander Skarsgård from True Blood, it still brings me to a loud laugh when I go back in time to this event, I had so much fun.

Who’s dirty thirties?

My Love’s! I am almost there to join him, yes, in January, but his birthday week is this week starting tomorrow, and I am so excited to create some lovable memories for him. He is from NYC, where he has the most amazing circle of friends and it always brings him down to think about it because in San Diego we basically only have each other, which is fine by me because I do have my girls, but it breaks my heart that he doesn’t, so hopefully I can put together something great for him. I already have something in mind…

Fitness

I am a whale. I am a cow. I am a hippo. And I don’t care what you have to say, it’s all about how I feel in my skin and I don’t feel like my athletic self, but I am somewhat back on track. I did register to a half marathon in Long Beach in October, so I already started to train for it, as a matter a fact I just came back from a 4 mile night run (it’s 10.10pm). So here I am. I put on Sunday’s episode of KUWTK and sat down to blog, to get up tomorrow at 5 am to run a 3 mile before work. Let’s do this! See, I really don’t know where I get my inner motivation from because in whatever sport I have done, it has never been about competing with the best, or showing off my strength, it has always been about competing with the best that I can be. You would laugh if you heard the mental conversations I have with myself to pep my work-outs, it’s hilarious! There is a lot of cows, and whales in my motivational vocabulary, but the most motivational is when I remind myself that I was an elite gymnast and a cheerleader competing on a national level, and there is nothing that can be harder than that!

By the way, what really set me off was the Fashion Haul that I filmed (I know, It’s not up yet but it will be up this week). The Keek above is a little sneak peak. In parts of the whole length video I really look like a little fluff-ball so Fitness and a Healthy Lifestyle needs to come back full time; here I come! Oh, and I also went for a monthly membership on Zumba, so now I am potentially a lifetime Zumba instructor. Since I now have a fixed work schedule I want to actively get back to teach Zumba. It shall be fun. San Diego, I’ll keep you posted.

P.S. By the way, San Diego, what happened this morning? You rained, thundered, and lightened… I was very confused.
