I FAILED BIG TIME

But it’s okay.

Earlier this year I decided to make a list of 30 things to do before turning 30. It all started around my 29th birthday and to be honest I am super excited that I made that list even though I will not have time to finish it. Because of the list I felt a sense of pressure to try new things and I am happy I did. I am only anticipating this failure now because I will be celebrating Christmas in Boston, and then there is NYE, and then I leave for Chile to celebrate my 30th birthday so I know for a fact that there is now way I am going to finish that list but I will of course still have these goals in mind for 2015. I am sure I will create another set of goals for 2015 in order to create some more amazing memories this year.

Anyways. Out with the boring Facebook “It’s been a great year,” and in with my amazing 30 before 30. This is what I accomplished.

1. Take surf lessons √

Not quite, but I went surfing with a friend and his cousin and friends in Cardiff By The Sea. My first time ever, and it was real fun! It’s very relaxing to be surrounded by that vast ocean and float on the motion of the waves… yeah I did not stand up yet, but I will!

3. Go to a Broadway Show

Oh yes! And I saw “The Book of Mormon,” which was so much fun! Very close to heart since I went to a Mormon High School at one point in my life.

11. Run a Half Marathon

Probably my biggest accomplish this year for sure!

14. Get the Silva Sisters together

This was amazing. We all have different mothers but same biological father and it’s always cool to look at pure genetics right in front of your face.

15. Make Gnocchi from scratch

It’s my favorite pasta so why not?

16. Go on a girls trip with my friends from childhood

We went to Cancun, Mexico!

17. Pay for the coffee of the person behind you at the drive thru

I actually did this twice this year. The first time was because someone started it at Better Buzz in Pacific Beach far in front of me, so the Barista informed me that there was a generosity chain going on and that I was number 7 of coffee people that had been payed for so of course I continued. I am not sure for how long it went on but it was pretty cool. The second time I did it in a Starbucks drive thru, no biggie but it felt kind of cool doing it, something different in your day to day. You should try it!

30. Skinny Dipping

Did this in Cancun, Mexico! No pictures of course…

It feels like I did so much and had so much fun this year and that was only 8 things out of 30! 22 things plus new things are being added to 2015’s resolution, and I am looking forward to it!
